What does not qualify
Fares that commonly do not qualify. Most lines exclude these, and Carnival's own terms are the final word.

- Casino offers and casino-targeted rates
- Residency, military, senior and loyalty-tier rates not open to the general public
- Travel-agent-only rates and agent rebates
- Charter sailings
- Third-party OTA prices, because every line requires the lower fare to be on its own site
- Rates loaded in error
- Stateroom guarantee cabins, where the line picks your cabin
- Fares other than Early Saver, such as Super Saver
- Membership-program rates and select promotional fares
- Bookings not made in USD
How to file
Submit Carnival's online Early Saver price protection form with your booking number and the lower fare. Carnival confirms by email within 2 business days. Separately, the 110% Lowest Price Guarantee pays 110% of the difference as onboard credit if you find a lower price within 48 hours of booking, through its own online form.
For context on how often this comes up: One in ten of the price drops we recorded on the 540,076 Carnival fares we track was worth more than $314 on a cabin for two. See the data.
